Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
